Johnson & Johnson, the pharmaceutical giant, has seen a 2.6% increase in its stock price

The company has revealed that it will pay £8.9 billion over the next 25 years 

To settle claims that its baby powder and other products containing talc caused cancer. 

Johnson & Johnson also stated that it has refiled for bankruptcy protection for its LTL Management subsidiary. 

The company maintains that it believes the claims lack merit.
